Kiroul – Jours

Jours is being presented in Aurillac as a preview, an experiment in context for a public square and a community at work. That’s how it is with the street arts, they don’t need a black box and silence to happen, they need the reality of a place, the light of day, but also you and us. So let Kiroul experience Jours with us.

When they came to stay at Aurillac, they had a falling wall, dead leaves, broken bicycles with diffracted rays, Gregorian punk chants, Nana Mouskouri and Wim Wenders in their suitcases. You don’t understand anything about it ? Us neither.

Kiroul presents with Jours the heavenly morning echo of the nocturnal hell that is Allant vers, his last show. A real joy with a pure cathartic effect !

Anarchic? Certainly. Confusing? Perhaps. Wacky, offbeat, whimsical? Without a doubt! Founded in the Gers region of France in 1998, start-down Kiroul is the brainchild of a wildly dynamic trio and a dozen or so “active participatory principles” who, with their visual, sonic and whimsical poems, change the world in their own way. Always on the lookout for the next step, they create atypical and fragile works for the public space, whose writing overflows the stage and tenderly invites us to lose our bearings.

Direction artistique : Cyril Puertolas (mise en scène et dramaturgie), Dimitri Votano (scénographie), Sylvain Cousin (mise en scène). Une écriture au plateau portée par l’ensemble de la compagnie.
