Notre Insouciance – JOUIR

They made an impression during their first show in 2019 with Et Ils Croivent,, a pamphlet with corrosive humour based on the objections of our (dis)informed society.
The company Notre Insouciance is back with a show holding a relatively explicit title: JOUIR. Did you know that, according to a recent study by Santé + magazine, 75% of men say they have an orgasm every time they have sexual intercourse, against 33% of women?
A dizzy and yet highly invisible orgasm gap, which Juliette Hecquet’s group intends to highlight – while hosing it with vitriol at the same time.

Intimate stories and documentary testimonies, musical cabaret and Comedy Club-style stand-up comedy take place one after the other in very varied, funny, disturbing, often unexpected forms which, together, help to open up our thoughts about enjoyment.

Freshly promoted from FAIR-AR, Juliette Hecquet is part of a generation to be closely watched, a generation that seizes upon social issues, questions them, dissects them, while offering the possibility of a different viewpoint, charged here with irony and love. Based on laboratories, improvisations and collective writing, the company’s shows are designed for exchange and sharing, and driven by the mad desire to surprise those who don’t think of themselves as theatre-goers.
