First, a shiver, a stretching shadow, a trembling glow like a held breath. Then it unfolds, a creature of silk and wind, born from a gesture, a breath, an incantation whispered amidst the turmoil of the world. At times it slides, slow and melancholic, like a memory rising to the surface; at others it bursts forth, lively and unpredictable, like an escaping dream. There, a plastic Ghost dances between sky and earth, brushing against stretched out hands, nestling close to the haunting voice of Camille Saglio resonating deep within. Then it vanishes, leaving behind silence, and an irresistible desire to believe once more in the invisible. Created by Étienne Saglio, magician of modern limbo worlds, Projet Fantôme is a bubble of pure poetry. A stolen moment from time, where magic is no longer a trick, but a presence. And the ephemeral becomes eternal…

Playing with the boundaries of reality has become Étienne Saglio’s dizzying specialty. Ghost tamer, wolf enchanter, he first trained in juggling at the CNAC before shifting almost accidentally into magic. An art he loves to rub against others, such as dance, theatre, and object manipulation. Since the creation of Monstre(s) in 2008, this storyteller-illusionist has shaped raw forms where the inanimate comes alive… and where our certainties slowly slip away.
