A million reasons to live… and a play to discover them. By adapting Duncan Macmillan’s cult play in Arabic, leading figure of Egyptian independent theatre Ahmed El Attar gives a new voice to this universal text about resilience and the beauty of life’s small joys. In a stripped-down scenography, Nanda Mohammad invites the audience to share what makes life precious: the sound of footsteps in the snow, the reflection of light, birdsongs… Fragments of happiness that become the thread of his story about mental health. Every performance is unique, born from encounters, voices emerging, and bodies engaging. An intimate, funny, and deeply human experience — a poetry of daily life where cultures meet and respond to one another. Performed in Arabic with French subtitles.

Giving voice when everything pushes towards silence. Born in Syria and exiled in Egypt since 2012, Nanda Mohammad is an actress, writer, and acting teacher. Trained in Damascus, she has become a figure of resistance theatre against the fractures of History, alongside directors such as Ahmed El Attar and Omar Abu Saada. In 2026, she presents Gathering Memories with My Eyelashes, her first work as an author, around on childhood memories in a country left in ruins.
